Fighting radicalization to enhance e-strategy for a youth-comprehensive approach towards on-line terrorism

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Preventing youth radicalization for a better tomorrow.

The project aims at improving the life quality of the youth in the region of Jammu and Kashmir through tackling terrorism and youth radicalization via a complex long-term methodology, thus reinforcing the concept of social inclusion and rule of law via specific capacity building measures, based both on on-line and on-field strategies. We firmly believe that the fight against terrorism and radicalization comes hand in hand with establishing a peace building process, which not only leads to the decrease of terrorist influence and violent extremism in the region, but further strengthens the social fabric of society, building its resilience and strength in a sustainable manner with a positive vision for the future.

The activities foreseen by the project will encourage young citizens of Jammu & Kashmir to think critically vis-à-vis terrorist propaganda through providing them with the necessary online and social skills to counteract its impact, alongside with enhancing the capacity of local civil society organisations in the prevention of online radicalization. The final goal will be to create a best practice guideline and educational methodology for all relevant stakeholders, which will be the foundation for the replication of the strategy in all other areas where online youth radicalization has an overarching impact.

We aim to strengthen the social fabric of society, building its resilience and strength in a sustainable manner with a positive vision for the future.
